Jane is Finally Here!

Jane Marie Byers arrived June 5, 2011.   At exactly 39 weeks, I was induced to have little Jane.  I couldn't image spending another day pregnant and I was so excited to meet little our sweet girl.  We arrived at the hospital at 7:00 am and was taken to labor and delivery.  Soon after I was given my IV and the drug pitocin.  At that time the nurse said I wasn't even dialated to a 2 yet, and made it sound like it was going to be a long time.  The doctor came in and broke my water soon after.  Within the next hour I was already feeling huge contractions and desperately needed an epidural.    Right after I got my epidural I was already dialted to a 4 and was still moving pretty fast.  The epidural, like my other deliveries, didn't work completely on one side and I felt a lot of labor pains on my right side.  Within the next 1/2 hour I dialted to a 7, and then in the next 1/2 dialted to a 10.  My labor w ent so quickly, they weren't prepared for it to go that fast and I had to wait for my doctor to arrive.  When he arrived, I pushed about 3 times and there she was, born at 12:05. It went so fast!!

She weighed 6 lbs 4 oz and she was 19 inches long.
We were all so excited to meet our little girl.  We are so glad she is part of our family.

Jack's Kindergarten Graduation

Jack Graduated from Kindergarten!  We are so proud of him.  He really seemed to enjoy Kindergarten and I really enjoyed having him in the next room while I was teaching Kindergarten.  He has learned so much this year.  He is becoming a good little reader and is learning friendshipping skills.  In the fall he will be going to 1st grade.
Mrs. Crookston was Jack's teacher.  She was a wonderful teacher and helped Jack find his place in the classroom!
