Jack's First Day of First Grade

Jack is excited for 1st grade!    To get Jack ready for school, Daddy did most of his school shopping...He got him a bunch of shirts, some shoes, and a new backpack. Jack chose to wear a shirt that says "homework is overrated" for the first day.  Jack will be walking to school because we live so close and he is excited about riding his bike to school.  On the first day I took him to school and was very sad that I didn't get to stay with him all day. (I guess I was missing teaching a little too) I also have mixed feelings about him being gone all day.

I took him to school and to his classroom.
We found his locker.

We found his seat with his nametag.
We met his teacher Mrs. Toomey.
Luke was so sad to leave the school. He wanted to go to school too and kept running into all the classrooms looking for which one was going to be his classroom. I finally had to grab him and leave the school.
He was even sadder when Jack didn't come home "wif us."  Poor Guy!

Jack's Last day of Summer Fun!

For the last day of summer before school started and before Jack was going to leave us all day for 1st grade, we had our "Last Day of Fun" with Jack.  We went on a field trip to the airplane museum.  The boys absolutely loved it!  Luke loved seeing the "big" airplanes and Jack loved anything that had camoflauge on it.

When we first walked in, we went into a room that had uniforms on manikins. The manikins scared Luke and he wanted to leave. (Jack and I thought it was funny that he was so scared

After we got to see everything we wanted to see at the airplane museum, we then met one of our favorite friends (Jill) at one of our favorite places to eat (Tasty's).

After Jill invited us to come over to her house and swim in her pool.  Jack loves to swim, but Luke doesn't like to swim "cuz it's too big."  (I think he means too deep, but whatever.  Scaredy Cat)
We had a very fun "Last Day of Fun!"

Oh Henry!

This is my sister's baby Henry.  I love him!!  I call him Hank the Tank.  He is so chubby and sweet! His eyelashes go on forever and he has beautiful chocolate brown eyes.  He is so sweet!  My sister was able to stay here in Utah during the summer, so I got to spend quality time with little "Henners."  But today they left, moving to Virginia because that it where his daddy is stationed in the Air Force.  I miss him!  I love him!  I am going to miss seeing him.  The next time I'll see him, it will be christmas, and he'll probably be walking.  I am so sad!
